Open Google Sheets on a browser and create a new sheet. Copy the long string of characters from the URL:
/d/<Spreadsheet_ID>/edit.
Paste this ID into the Spreadsheet ID field under the app Settings tab.

Absolutely not. Munshiji is engineered on a 100% offline-first, client-side model. All SMS parsing, token resolution, and ledger operations happen directly on your Android device. The app connects directly to Google Sheets using secure API tokens stored locally under Android's secure keystore, keeping your finances strictly confidential.
Munshiji supports any Android device running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or above. It does NOT require Root access or dangerous developer tools. It operates purely as a standard, secure application with regular SMS Receive and Read permissions, which you can easily grant during installation.
Follow these simple troubleshooting steps: (1) Ensure your device has active network coverage. (2) Tap the Run Diagnostics button in settings to self-verify Google Sheets sync state. (3) Confirm your Spreadsheet ID in the settings is copied correctly.
